The home’s original siding, all 45 windows, three exterior doors, and the fascia, soffit, and gutters had reached the point where a full exterior update made more sense than piecemeal repairs. Beyond replacement, the layout wasn’t working for the homeowners. The master bathroom, master closet, and basement office had no natural light, because those rooms never had windows to begin with.

Window Replacement and Siding Installation Services Performed in Phases for a Stress-Free Renovation
Presidential Exteriors completed the project in two phases.
Phase one, exterior and openings:
- 35 squares of 4.5″ Dutch lap vinyl siding in English Wedgwood, installed over fullback insulation
- 45 Presidential 6.0 windows in white with contoured grids: 37 double hung, 6 picture, 2 half round
- Four new window openings engineered into existing walls: three double hungs for the master bathroom and closet (one mulled into an existing twin to create a triple), plus a custom picture window with a full millwork package for the basement office
- Three ProVia Legacy Steel entry doors in white with contoured grids and matching capping
- Six pairs of shutters and two 22″ circular gable vents for a more symmetrical front elevation
Phase two, trim and attic:
- New fascia, soffit, and frieze in white, with hidden vent soffit, new J-channel, and capping
- Full gutter replacement
R-19 blow-in attic insulation with baffles
A Full-Frame Window Install Backed by Careful Planning
Presidential Exteriors installed the windows with nail fins directly into the framing rather than as pocket inserts. That full-frame approach seals tighter and gives this Broadlands home a structurally stronger window install than a stand-alone window replacement allows.
Cutting four brand-new openings into a finished home required exact planning. The basement office’s picture window alone needed its stool set 33 inches off the floor and its top rabbet at 93 inches to line up with the room’s existing trim return. The window and siding crews worked in sequence so the home was never left open to the weather during a project of this size.
