Giving Back to Our Community

Construction Trades Foundation

The Construction Trades Foundation is a community nonprofit organization established in 1976. Presidential Exteriors has partnered with the Montgomery County Construction Trades Foundation by donating both time and materials. The students in the Program are given the necessary tools to design and build a real life home. The program’s courses jump start their success in the construction industry.

Also, many of the previously built homes in Maryland have been in Silver Spring, Rockville, and Bethesda. The homes are always very impressive and we want to highlight this huge accomplishment for the students. Upon sale, all proceeds are fed back into the program.

When the students aren’t actively working on the homes, we work with the program’s architecture students to help design the next generation of Young American houses. We also take the time to teach the students best practices for material selection and installation.

Every summer since 2018, Presidential Exteriors has partnered with the Montgomery County Public Schools Summer Rise Program. This program matches high school students in the community organizations. Once matched, the students participate in hands-on experiences in specialized fields. There are many different host organizations that participate. The students learn about their own areas of interest.

We always look forward to the new student matches every summer. During the four week/50-hour summer program, students learn valuable skills and explore business operations procedures. We’ve had the great opportunity of giving students a glimpse into the construction industry.
