This New Market, MD home was built in 1999 and was in need of a complete siding replacement. The original siding was not installed properly which led to mold and mildew growth on the siding panels, as well as, visible warping and bubbling. When the siding was removed, it revealed a plethora of issues such as: insects eating away at the wood, moisture build up, and some mice nests. It was also apparent that the construction contractor cut some corners by not wrapping the home properly with a weather barrier protection.

It became apparent the home needed Tyvek Home Wrap to help prevent the water damage that led to the warped siding and growing algae on the sides. The siding replacement was with Mastic Quest Premium Vinyl Siding due to their durability and high quality. This not only made the home more energy efficient, but also prevented rain from seeping through. Additionally, this upgrade ensured the home would still be breathable in order prevent any future mold or mildew growth.
